Darfur Charms for Change

We will have to repent in this generation not merely for the hateful words and actions of the bad people but for the appalling silence of the good people.
- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

An estimated 500 people are dying everyday in Darfur, Sudan and three million people have been displaced since 2003. Reflect solidarity with the people of Darfur with this symbol of unity and compassion for profound struggle and endurance, co-created by Help Darfur Now and artisan jeweler Jane Diaz. Darfur Charms for Change recall the prisoner of war bracelets worn during 1970s as a symbol of solidarity and hope for liberation. They also serve as a fundraising effort – 100% of the profits directly support Help Darfur Now.

Help Darfur Now was founded by three high school students and has inspired over 250 high school chapters across the U.S. to mobilize their communities to raise funds for the victims of the genocide in Darfur.
