An estimated 500 people are dying everyday in Darfur, Sudan and three million
people have been displaced since 2003. Reflect solidarity with the people of
Darfur with this symbol of unity and compassion for profound struggle and
endurance, co-created by Help Darfur Now and artisan jeweler Jane Diaz. Darfur
Charms for Change recall the prisoner of war bracelets worn during 1970s as a
symbol of solidarity and hope for liberation. They also serve as a fundraising
effort – 100% of the profits directly support Help Darfur Now.
Help Darfur Now was founded by three high school students and has inspired over
250 high school chapters across the U.S. to mobilize their communities to raise
funds for the victims of the genocide in Darfur.
