Global Fund for Women

Since 1987, the Global Fund has defended women's human rights across the planet by making grants to seed, support and link grassroots women’s rights groups in over 160 countries.

From Afghanistan to Zimbabwe, the Global Fund’s grantmaking is unique — based in trust that women themselves know best how to determine their needs and solutions for lasting change. The Global Fund supports women’s organizations defending their rights to economic independence, environmental justice, health and reproductive choices, civic and political participation, access to education and progressive social change. Last year, the Global Fund made over $5.1 million in grants.
