Global Youth Action Network

Global Youth Action Network (GYAN) is an incubator of global partnerships among youth organizations, facilitating youth participation in global decision-making. GYAN believes that the critical issues facing the planet today demand every generation’s attention, commitment and action. Since 1999, it has supported collaboration among diverse international youth organizations and provided tools and resources for positive youth action.

GYAN organizes Global Youth Service Day (GYSD), the world’s largest celebration of youth volunteerism, mobilizing millions of young volunteers. The GYSD is developed in partnership with Youth Service America, six UN agencies, and a consortium of twenty international organizations representing 125 countries. With over 300 member organizations and partnerships with national youth networks in nearly 180 countries, GYAN is one of the largest networks of youth organizations in the world.
